Tuners on a '73 360

Post by lars »

Hi guys,
It's been a while since I posted, but I've been lurking! Good to see some new people along with you "old fellas" (and "gals").

I am member of a vintage guitar forum here in Norway, and since I always chime in there on Rickenbacker-related topics, they seem to belive I am an expert on all things Rickenbacker.
Recently I saw an ad for a 1973 360. Of course listed as "all original". I took the liberty to question the originality of the tuners, and was of course asked for some backing for my point of view. So now I seek your expert help. Could these tuners be original?

Hi Lars....Yes, those tuners could most certainly be original, and probably are. The 360s used Grover Rotomatic tuners like that for many years, starting circa 1971.
