Are these inlays new?

I hope that Rickenbacker will be wise enough (and considerate enough of their customers) to let us in on what is the policy now concerning the new inlays. I think the new inlays look fantastic and would be happy to buy any 360 with this feature. But I won't budge until I know.

2. What sort of policy are you referring to? The new inlays are going to be across the deluxe end of the line, with the exception of the Vintage Series, which will remain poured for historical accuracy.

yeah, I totally agree. I love the harmonics you get with a 21 fret, plus the spacing of the frets makes it easily possible to play leads.

I don't mean to harsh on your buzz, but the 21 fret necks and the 24 fret necks have the exact same fret spacing... the scale lengths are the same... only the 24 fret neck has, well... more frets.

Ah, right. So they said. I never actually measured it, truth be told. I used to have a 24fret 6 string, and leads seemed diffucult compared to the 21 fret 6 string I picked up later. It seemed incredibly easier to play higher in the neck, I guess I automatically assumed it was spaced out easier.

Well...we know what happens when I assume...I make an *** out of U and ME.

Check out this new 660 FG with the new inlays next to this other new 660 MG with the old inlays. Quite a difference.

Well, I know that my mind has been twisted by the unforgettable experience of opening my own first new Rick back in December, 2004...a 660/12 with those grayed FW poured inlays. I don't mind how they look at all. But I don't mind the new ones even less!
