I could be wrong on this, but I've seen type II's go for more $$$$ than type I's.
The type II has a better circiut design and better bulb placement in the body.
Last type one I saw had a price sticker of 13K while at the same time a type
two was a few K more....

It is a type 2. They don't have it. I bought it about 6 weeks ago. It's currently in transit from Japan. I have no idea what Music Ground are doing with that picture, nor do I care.

Cheers JB! Let's see if it all works when it gets here. If it had a bulb missing - it would be a disaster........I just couldn't live with that!

Very soon, I will have a schematic for Type 2s. Now I need a Type 1.
Just finished repairs to the electronics on Kenny Howe's T2; it should be good for another 35 years!

Re: lightshow on ebay.co.uk.
Thanks Pete!
Yep - I'll play it out. The last show I did with a lightshow was in the USA. It was at a gig with Dave Pascoe....................... half way between New York and Philadelphia, where, if you know the right people, you can borrow a lightshow
I know it's always said that these things get too hot, but I didn't notice anything with Dave's. But that might have been because of that missing bulb?
You're always welcome to come and take a look. The guitar will look great. As for the noise I make with it..........................

For the record, I do not believe that it is the lamps that generate the heat on the 331.
As we all know, it is well documented that one of my lamps is not working on my 331LS (Thanks GG). However, it is the metal housing that sits dead center of the guitar that is the heat generator. I believe that it is a rectifier (I could be wrong).
