Niiiice! That'll give you a good swift kick in the pants right before untying your shoelaces! Must be a ton o fun cranked. Very worth the backache.

My mistake - I missed the irony, having bought a 1x15 to go with my 4x10 to give it some (unrequired) low end.antipodean wrote:Sorry, I was trying to be ironic....

Maybe some debris were blown into your back from that tornado of wind eminating from all of those speakers!

for the record, i typically only use 2 of the 4x10 cabs live. last week's show was an exception because of the show and the larger stage.

No kidding. Even in larger venues, it's nice to have stage coverage for those spots in the stage where on doesn't have the main cabinet or a monitor pointing in one's direction; take a few steps right or left and all of a sudden the sound of one's instrument just drops off.phlemmy wrote:the sound system there was awesome, but i like hearing the sound coming from behind me as well as in front of me.

That looks great. I wish I had the energy for that much gear...I just use an HK 1-15 300watt combo...with wheels that I added...can't afford a roadie, can't afford to wear my arms out before the show. Wish wish wish.
it is what it is.

Yeah....apparently too sexy for your vest too....you were willing to wear it in your TV commercial; what happened?......I was really looking for that world famous phlemmy fashion statementphlemmy wrote:i'm too sexy for my shirt.

Hehehe...Sean, you like feeling it too.paologregorio wrote:No kidding. The old 10 vs 12 vs 15 vs 18 argument is moot to me since I got a 4x8. Enough for me, if I'm in a bigger place that's the PA's job.
The "drop off" you refer to, Paul, is also just the physics (that I remember better because it is just the behavior of waves and I studied meteorlogy in grad school) of sound waves interacting in a rather "energetic" way...there are areas where the amplitudes add to each other, and areas where the amplitudes cancel each other out from all of the various sound sources on stage. The living room that I do most of my reharsals in is such a lousy room acoustically that those interference waves often set up.
