Paul McCartney! It seems like every time I saw him on tv in the 70s, during the Wings period, he was playing the Rickenbacker bass. To me, Paul was an original, and so was the Rickenbacker bass. Most other bass players were using Fenders, so when I saw Paul with the Rickenbacker, it really stood out as different.

I always buy my guitars because of the way they look...probably my amps as well. They all have to sound good of course, but if the looks are the clincher :D

That's it! Distract the crowd from looking at you by playing a rig that they'd rather look at instead!!! My thinking exactly. I tried using a bag on my head at first, but it wasn't working out for me. I'd start to sweat profusely, the bag would stick to my head, and...well, you get the picture.

It's just how it looks, but how it looks on. Noel Gallagher was right when he said that they should have full length mirrors on guitar shops, so you can see what it looks like.

Wasted hours on t'internet, record fairs, public libraries (?) is where they come from Scott.

The Boys was the original name for The Action - and The Jam did a "secret" gig under the name of John's Boys.

Here's a little Ric Action (WARNING this contains Phil Collins content - steady now)
