P90's for a Casino

Post by 1965 »

So I bought a late model Casino a few months back and it's an alright guitar with the exception of the pickups. Anyone have any suggestions for some replacement P90's?

Many of the boutiques do great P90's. Some that come to mind are Stephens Design (http://www.sdpickups.com), Lollar (http://www.lollarguitars.com), Fralin; you can also go with Duncans as they are pretty good, and in fact, the stock Gibson ones are pretty good too. Its pretty hard to make a bad sounding P90. Dave from Stephens Design is a personal friend of mine and he lives to custum wind pickups for people to suit their tone. he has a waiting list all the time, but sometims the best stuff you have to wait for. Check out the sound samples on his site.

I'm curious, what year is it? I have a '96 I bought new and I love the stock pickups.
