Remember the "other" Rush from Canada?

Power trios are great fun. As far as I recall they did not make all that big of an impact over here, in Western Canada. But having said that, they were definitely on my radar screen.

Awesome band. He was compared to Mr. Hendrix by some critics for a while in the 70s, as far as guitar technique. I met Frank in 1978 at Norm Silvers Moustache Club here in Montreal. I was blown away. His brother Vince ended up managing our 80's hair band for three years.

I still have Dragonfly and All Along The Watchtower (Mahogany Rush style) on rotation in the car. I got my copy of their 2007 release the day it came out. He has played the club near my house several times since the release. It's really good to see him back and doing well. Things got pretty rough for Frank for a while there.

Saw them in Cinci in the early '70s.
