Great Bands That Never Were
Re: Great Bands That Never Were
This is a guess is it The Chryslers?
Re: Great Bands That Never Were
Good guess Scotty but no.
Here's a further hint. There are actually two bands that became famous as a result of The Commitments. One of the bands was a big hit in both The UK and Australia.

I saw that movie, and it was indeed good.captsandwich wrote:Hardcore Logo.
I don't know if anyone outside Canada ever saw this movie, but it was brilliant.
The band Billy Talent took it's name from one of the characters in this film. (the guy on the right, Kallum Keith Rennie. His character's name was Billy Tallent, lead guitarist)

I can't tell if Tenacious D is a real band or not.

Another one — Global Heresy. The trailer is the only thing i've found on the web. Love that movie.

Re: Great Bands That Never Were
Hi Greg,
No but you are warmer. The lead guitarist of the band in question was in the film and so was the violinist, albeit briefly.

Anyone remember "Stillwater" from the movie "Almost Famous"?
In 1973 Stillwater toured the US on their Almost Famous tour in support of their new record Farrington Road that featured the hit single Feverdog.
