Curmudge: What happened to this finish Trans red?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Re: Please explain
I know that my pic is not the best quality, but this 2002 NAMM bass looks very similar to the one on eBay.

Re: Please explain
Thanks Richard. It would seem that it is not about the finish but the grain. Regardless, it is unique.

Re: Please explain
The one on Ebay is spectacular. Looks to have walnut wings though. The gold appears switched out for chrome, and has the 3 knob mod.
That 2002 CII looks alot like my old one. It was an '02.

It's PH's bass, and he's a member here.
You would think that grain has to be a NAMM or special order bass.
Pity it's red, (Just my op)...That should have been left looking absolutely stunning in MG....

I think the pics look a bit odd from the sunlight. I've seen other pics of Peters bass, it''s really nice. I'd love to have that one.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Please explain
I've lost track, but I think I was the original owner of that bass. Sold it to Henny who then pass it on
Re: Please explain
Peter Heinzel correct????
Forgive me if I spelled that wrong. I thought that looked familiar.

This is amazing how I don't look at certain things when I add "Collected instruments" to the register.
Peter (McCormack): not only I know this bass, I actually have a picture of me holding it next to the owners!!!

For the rest of you guys who don't understand what I am talking about... - I am following ebay auctions and adding identifiable instruments (those who have a serial number...) to the register.
When I stumbled upon this instrument I had no idea what color was it and I added a note to Peter telling him that the color looks strange...

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Hi Folks,
Yeah, I’m selling my 4004Cii TR which I received from Mark Henson some years ago. It is JWR2-modified (no, not the 4-2-5 conversion) with VVT electronic and a 1Meg Ohm tone pot and now has some nice growl. Also the hardware was swapped to chrome with a 1997 4004Laredo FG. It has the rare PU-spacing and a finished fretboard (only some short production period). The bass is of light weight but has the famous “baseball-bat-neck”, perfect for the 4-2-5-conversion, but as I already have a 5-string Squier Protone with EMG-BTC electronics, I do not have a need for the conversion.
Other than that I still have my ’74 4001FG currently with Paul W. for a pre’73-conversion. I’ll be very happy when she returns to me!
