Well, if you figure gasoline is $3.59 a gallon in my area, and Vandalia is about 25 miles away, admission was $5.00 a head, and I took my daughter with me, it was pretty much a waste of time and money. But you never know right??????

Actually for the first show in my area, it wasnt too awful bad. I was there early, which was probably not the smartest thing to do, and it seemed to be your usual Fender/Gibson fest. Lots of guitars, but only 5 basses. !!!!!!!!!!!!! A pre-CBS Pbass in C/A red that looked like it was dragged to the show, a CZ Spector, Warwick streamer 5, a goth T-bird, and some kiddy semi-hollowbody bass in pastel pink with white pearloid tuners.

NOT A RICKENBACKER IN THE HOUSE.

I asked one dealer, "what nobody likes Rickenbackers?" he replied, "find one".

The whole show seemed to be marketed to the VG player, which I guess is what these things are all about. We had a good time, and my daughter told me my basses looked nicer than anything there.

So I guess it wasnt a total loss....

It's the equivalent of $12 a gallon here, and that is you can actually get it.
