This Shape Look Familiar?
This may have been discussed before. It probably was and I’ve forgotten. Sorry.
But doesn’t this silhouette look kinda familiar?
It’s actually a Gretsch G5235 Electromatic Corvette.[/color]

I don't remember it being discussed here, at least not in the last four years or so...
This is an old design, dating from about '60 for its creation, and '61 for its first appearance, so Electro, and later RIC have certainly considered it. It does resemble a Rick 320 from the back, but once you turn it around, the details don't say, "Rickenbacker" at all. So, it comes down to, "close, but no geetar".

Gretsch Corvette was my first thought, though the headstock is not quite right for that.

Daniel, agree, from the front, not so much at all. (Again, except for the shape.)
Paul, so I guess "cresting wave" is a sort of generic term.
And Paul, btw, please change your avatar. It's giving me a headache.

I knew it was a Gretsch Corvette from the first picture, but in any case it is also similar to the double-cutaway Les Pauls.
