Re: NAFTA - that program has made it much easier for you north of the border Ric-O-Nuts to get instruments. If the policy changes or is repealed, you'd loose the ability to buy from US dealers. No boat in this race; I'm just saying.

I've shipped guitar outside the US, I have no problem with doing so. I don't mind filling out the customs form to ship a guitar out of the US, it's the puzzled and negative looks and comments from the clerks over the size of the box for overseas shipments that annoys me!

Ebay is such a crapshoot for me anymore. I just recently got an eq that was supposed to be in good condition that would only be be considered fair/poor at best. I sent the seller a msg a few weeks ago and have heard nothing. It functions, but is falling apart, has a slider cap broken off, and is covered in dirt and duct tape residue slime. With some TLC, hopefully I can sort it out. More trouble and expense to send this back than it's worth, and from the majority of posted ratings I've seen, if the buyer leaves a negative one, the seller retaliates with a bad rating and an explanation of what an unreasonable moron the buyer was. I have a perfect Ebay record, and want to keep it that way.

Funny how everything is "vintage", "rare", or "celebrity" owned-
"I have a broken guitar string from John Lennon that his friend Jimmy had kept in a drawer since 1960 and has a picture of Lennon holding a guitar with a broken string on it for a BIN of $20,000." That stuff just kills me.

I have bought a Vox T60 that came with a blown speaker, a Plexitube pedal with a broken efx loop jack, and a few other items that were all listed as "mint"/"perfect working order" etc. The sellers are always so amazed when their "perfect products" are found out to be faulty, and if you can get a hold of them, it's always the fault of someone else who either tested or sold it for them. Fixing these items myself has been the result, or some of the items I haven't listed were from an authorized dealer and I was able to have my issues resolved my local warranty center for free(minus my fuel and time).

I have also got some great things at killer prices, and for that I am truly thankfull. I still would much rather go to a physical store to check out my items, although on occasion, they can be more deceiving and your recourse is gone when you walk out the door. Hopefully, things will improve, and I really feel for you folks in other countries that have to go through an unreasonable amount of red tape and time just to get stuff, especially simple replacement parts.
