How can you not love those 6118s in Smoke green tutone?

Steve; one of these days you have to come to the Wed. nite jam at the Beacon in Wasaga Beach and bring a couple of those puppies with you, I'd like to feel the difference between your 4001 and my C64, and they are some fine instuments you have there

Hi Richard - the bass is actually a V63. What kind of a jam is it? It may be worth a trip up there now that it's the "off season" (unless you get a lot of ski bums from Blue Mountain).

Steve; It's an open jam, I usually travel over with the blues guy I play with, and now I've been using the host on some other gigs as I get to play some Paul Simon and Van the man stuff as well as others. We don't get the ski bums as there are to many bars close to the hills. Mostly players come out, and the quality is pretty good, some of us are over 50, and sometimes the Princess and her piano playing hubby come up from Aurora, she sings real good, more R@Bish, I was wondering when I'd run into a V63, I'd love a Monty, but a skinnyer neck tho. The jam will restart in a week or two, Guy always takes a holiday break, will let you know when it's up and going....R

i realize this is an old topic, but its kinda the reason i wanted to get on to this forum. does anyone have a pic of the greenburst (i'd call it green apple burst) in the small rickenbacker book? (the one that is mainly pictures, not the big book) i can't find it anywhere. i remember it being a 21 fret but i could be wrong.

i was really excited about finding someone who could do greenbursts and blue bursts but then i found out that you guys are making modernized light shows so now i'm all confused...guess i REALLY got to start savin the pennies!

anyway if anyone can post a pic of that one or point me in the right direction...

I love that Kermit burst finish on Vanessa's guitar. I want one. Would the "Aquaglo" finish count as well? It starts out blue and fades to green in the middle. I think it fades to green; I can be slightly colorblind at times...

I love Surf Green as well. I have two AVRI `57 Surf Green Strats; one to play, and one to keep brand new in it's case in a box under the bed. Weird, I know. Long story. I'd post some pics, but I'd have to take them both out first, and I'm still too tired from last night's gig, requisite staying up all hours of the night, and the booze that went with it...
