Cool story and a high five to JW.

Congrats, Andy. That's one cool Rick. Early '73? Full width non-sparklies? Do tell!

Nice bass Wints and great detective work + forum cooperation. It seems like RIC made a batch of burgundys in April, I think I've seen about six since I started looking in 2004 and that's more than any other color that I've seen from that month. This one looks like it was taken care of and not abused like so many of this time frame. Was the price good, bad , or ugly? Whatever it was I'm sure it was worth it.

Thanks Mark...

Yes, it's a well used, but well taken care of example. All original, and yesterday as I took the pickguard off, all the routing wood shavings were still there. It's probably the first time the guard had been off... :)

It was deal. Half of the opening bid of the other one on eBay at present....

Double crikey! How do people find these things? Whenever I see a bass like that the cost is always sky high.

John Williams, you're a good friend, I'll say that. Andy, you better do something nice for him in the future!

Now if Jwilli could sell me that 1993 of his in his avatar, I'd be a happy dude!
