I don't remember the "Klaatu" rumour mentioned above, but I do recall that when the BeeGees first record (that I'm aware of) came out, "New York Mining Disaster" I think, a lot of people thought it was the Beatles using another name...

Like many others I thought the Knickerbockers were really the Beatles. Great rocky tune but I think it was their only hit.

Badfinger are one of my all time favourite bands, with as we all know, a tragic story .

I have many of their albums but the most impressive is Wish You Were Here, from '74 I think. Arguably one of the best "lost" albums of all time.
