Cool! I didn't realise that you are from "America". Whereabouts is that in Texas?

I had to watch "the Rutles" again after reading this. Still hilarious. Now I'm waiting for Rutles II: Can't Buy Me Lunch" to arrive from NetFlix.

I waited YEARS for "Rutles II", it was shot and in the can a few years before the studio released it; what a MAJOR letdown when it was eventually released. I see why they were hesitant. Could have been sooo much better. IMO.

Ronn, I have to agree with you about Rutles 2, which I watched today. Definitely not up to Eric Idle's standards, and I have to wonder why they did it. Pretty much a rehash, without the hash.

I would have preferred a "Where are they now?", The Rutles 30 years later kinda thing. Short of that, a 30th anniversary expanded edition of the original, with interviews with the band, outakes, etc.

That would have been funny, especially Barry Wom as a 60-something hairstylist. Maybe it's up to The Eggmen to carry the project forward. :D
