Chris, I saw Wakeman live on his 1996 solo tour. He mentioned that, when moving, he discovered a box that had all of the CTTE outtake reels. PLEASE, Release, release them!!!

THAT, probably to most of us, would be one helluva Holy Grail!! The only thing better would be individual multitracks.
Is it just me being dyslexic or something, or is Chris' ability to play a bass part like that and sing beautiful harmonies a rare talent?
I'd say relatively rare - as has been mentioned, there are many who can sing and play, but the contrapuntal nature of what Chris did in the '70s was pretty damn amazing, IMO.
One of my proudest moments (that nobody, except maybe my girlfriend at the time, witnessed) was when I was able to *finally* nail the bass part and backing vox during the "coins & crosses" section of And You & I - after quite a bit of practice. And yet I could never get it together for something like Dire Straits Walk Of Life (simple root - V bass part with "ahhh" backups, IIRC). Of course, that probably had something to do with the fact I wasn't interested in nailing that one.
