I've never even messed with the trem lock on mine. I've always just put the arm in place and went from there.

Some newer Jags and JMs (MIJ, CIJ) have the trem lock button in place...but it doesn't do anything...

Yup, I've owned some that did nothing, hence why I'm still puzzled about what it even does.
