Lennon 325 Knobs

Well, just to close the loop, yes, these knobs are ginormous.
Gonna use 'em for coasters . The Leeds guys were really nice though...think I'm gonna ask them if they have anything like these smaller...who knows?

Hey Allan, nice to see you over here! The knobs Mike has avail are the Burns knobs. The radio knobs discussed in this thread certainly do seem to be very elusive. A couple folks have managed to find something similar, but there certainly doesn't appear to be any well to drink from.

I went with a set of Hofner Teacups on my MG--I'm not sure Lennon used them before his guitar was painted black, but I think they look really good on the MG finish, so correct or not, they're what I like on the c58!

I sent you my thoughts on the Bigsby in an email, but just to repeat here, you've nothing to lose by ordering one and laying it up on your guitar to see how it will fit the body cove. Until you drill that first tap hole you haven't risked anything! More than likely it will work fine. As I mentioned, the Bigsby doesn't fit quite as flush on my MG as it does on my JG, but it's pretty darn close, and with the spacer washer, there's no gap per se.

In the meantime, just in terms of playability, you can throw a trapeze tailpiece on which should aleviate any tuning issues with the Kaufman.

Yeah! I was watching a set of vintage radio knobs on eBay. Close enough but, I'll go for the Burns knobs instead as they are readily available. I'll post some pix as I go along.. Thanks!

The Burns knobs might not be historically accurate for a MG, but I think they look pretty good. As for the Bigsby, I say go for it. Here's a photo so you can see roughly how it fits.

I have five slightly used "Burns" style knobs and a new "Bowtie" type bridge available, if anyone needs them.

I agree.. Maybe i'll go for the "as it is now" look - exactly like the pix u attached but with the white pickguard..

Are there any custom shops out there for those radio knobs??

Allan, please say you meant "without" the white PG!!! I know that's the way poor V81 looks now, but somehow, someday, someone needs to convince Yoko to order a replacement gold guard for that poor guitar!!!
