That is very cool! I've never seen a Ventures-style model with an F hole before.

Ah John, it isn't a Ventures - it's a Combo.

Mosrite had five main body shapes, excluding the double-necks:

- Ventures
- Ventures MkII (ala Johny Ramone) - slab body;
- Ventures II/V - carve body;
- Joe Maphis (semi-hollow with no sound hole) and Combo (same with a sound hole); and
- Celebrity (335ish semi-hollow).

Semie Moseley also made basses in Ventures, Joe Maphis/Combo and Celebrity body styles.

They're all very cool in their own way. The Combo is even rarer than other Mosrites.

Don, welcome to the bizarre world of Mosrite fans!

Very cool guitar. In addition to my Ric basses, I am a bit of a Hagstrom bass collector - so I feel your pain. I've been meaning to take group photos of each set.

That's not being unfaithful. I have some of each of my favorite brands of guitar, including Rics. If you were to start selling Ricks to buy other brands, that would be a different matter. :D

Slut!!!!! :D :D :D

Seriously, Rics account for about 20% of my guitar collection...

Congrats on your new guitar!

Nice acquisition, Don!

No problem here in regard to 'faithfulness' ... my last acquistion of 2007 was an Epiphone JL Revolution Casino:

It had a slightly split neck, but once I fixed that, it's been steady as a rock and is one of my favorites (it plays and sounds fantastic!.

Love the shading on that casino, it's like a halo right around the edge. Just perfect

It's OK; I understand. I was visiting a local guitar shop and I was lusting after this:

Jerry, mine had lost its certificate (as well as its JL case) by the time I got it. I can PM you the serial numbers if you're interested.
