I saw 'em in December; they did the entire White Album. It was incredible! Will Lee alternated between a stickered-up v63 Fireglo and an old block inlay sunburst Jazz.jps wrote:Shari and I are going to see the FF June 14th in Cleveland! Can't wait.Nice warm up for RIO!!!

Re: Fab Faux
Are they doing any specific album for your show? We knew it was going to be the White Album in advance - the next night they did Revolver, IIRC.jps wrote:Ooh, baby, that would be incredible!
Will Lee is gonna knock you out, Jeff. I found it unbelievable that a guy with his jazz fusion chops could pick up a pick and NAIL the McCartney vibe!
Oh, and luckily you've already got a v63. Within a week and a half of seeing them, I got one.
Re: Fab Faux
I have no idea. Their website does not say specifically what they will be doing, only that the horn and string sections will be with them.
Will does have a 4001CS, I do not!

I saw them do Penny Lane on TV very recently and it was amazing. It should be good.

Hey, for those who stay over Sunday night, they could go see TP & the Heartbreakers at Blossom Music Center!
Re: Fab Faux
BTW, I didn't find out the FF were coming until this past Friday PM.

WOW!!! What a great show, they covered the whole era but with an emphasis on mid to later material. Lots and lots of geetars and two drum sets, one for '61 through '67 songs and the other for '68 through '70. Will played his V63 for most of the show, the Hofner occasionally and the Jazz Bass only once. It was a treat to see and hear the V63, a 360/12 and 325 Miami at the same time through Ampeg SVT8 into a Vox cabinet, white Tolex Showman and cab and AC30, respectively. The two encores were worth the price of admission by themselves. The first was Rain into Sgt. Peppers reprise into Day In A Life. The second was Drive My Car into Me And My Monkey into Helter Skelter! I'd certainly go see them again.
