360/12V64 MG for me

Post by 1965 »

Just won the auction for this on ebay and I'm stoked on the both the guitar and the price I just got. Check out that grain! I've got a pair of scatterwound toasties with this guitar's name on em.

Nice score. You got a deal on that beauty. If I had the funds I would have been bidding against you. There aren't too many of these around, are there?

I don't think there are too many MG's out there, anyone seen another one lately? What a deal, I'm happy.

That's one of the first things that came to my mind too, and I've got oven knobs for it already. I've got no idea where I'd be able to get a gold 12-string TRC though. Any ideas?

You could put out a want ad here, and watch eBay. Not much more you can do, unfortunately.

Boy, it's been an exciting morning. Whatever I saved on the 360V64 I just spent on this 4001C64, which wasn't as a good of a deal but I really want one and they seem to be scarce lately. Needless to say, I need to start selling some gear to make up for this incredible bash to my pocketbook. No more guitars for me for a while.

Wes you are a lucky, lucky dude. You've got two new Rics in one day. How many Rics does this make for you now?

I have a feeling MY dream Ric is coming sooner than expected. School's almost over, my parents and grandma say they're going to do something nice for me for making good grades. Hmm...

Well I do have to pay for them, and ~$5k early Sunday morning is somewhat hard to swallow. I've always wanted a C64 though, and now I think I play bass enough to justify it. I also had an epiphany last week after playing a 12 string in a guitar store for half an hour. I realized that it wasn't as novel as I thought and that I'd like a Rick one. Right now I only have my trusty 325C58, so soon I'll have 3.

If you don't want the hot toasters from the V64, can I have them?

Give the hot toasters a chance before changing to scatterwounds.

Why stop with gold plastic when you can do something like this:

This one started out as a Mapleglo 360/12V64 similar to your new one.

I will, I've got nothing against hot toasters (they're good for English Muffins) but it'll be nice having a choice. As for the 370, I'm not a fan of 3 pickups on the 330/360OS because they end up so spaced out, not nice and neat like on a 325. Paul W might be the only man in the universe with a gold 12 string TRC though, so hmmm...
