New Midnight Blue 4003

Post by bosco64 »

My dealer (Classic Axe Guitar Gallery) just received a new MID 4003 with the new full length inlays and the new MID paint formulation. It is really difficult to capture the true color of this beautiful finish. In normal light. it looks darker, with a little more purple mixed in. Some of the shots, it looks like Jetglo, but it is surely Midnight Blue. The bass in the pics was already pre-sold, but my dealer has another one just like it. Enjoy!

Not to re-open the subject, but hopefully the bleed problem I had with the finish on mine is a thing of the distant past.
Hope so, anyway.
A big giveaway is if it smells strongly of paint!

They do look gorgeous, though!

Ron, thanks for sharing the pics - really a beautiful color. Reminds me of the 60s Ford GT40:

I'd love to Joey; but the wife and I are on our way to the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota tomorrow for our vacation, so most of my "play" money has dried up. In addition, Paul W. is in the process of refinishing my Mapleglo 4003S, so any new bass purchases at this point are sadly, verboten. :(

wow! I just got word from my dealership that the MID4003LH I ordered way back in 2006 just made it to japan, I pick it up on Sunday June 21
I hope it looks as good as this one does!
I certainly hope it has full-width inlays, they look great!
