I have the black Hipshot tuners and bridge on my '87 4003. Great stuff! The tuners were not a snug fit into the holes in my headstock though. I had to wrap a single layer of electrical tape around the bushings to get them to fit snugly. I haven't had any problems from doing that.

I just ordered the bushings only from hipshot

gonna try that first

good to know about the electrical tape


will let you know how it works out!

and, I am thinking of the bridge upgrade.....looks nice!

did you get better tone and sustain? or just more adjustability?
