Hey Scotty you take the day shift and I'll take the night shift. This is great.

Your answer was correct btw. Peter also got it right. He PM'd me with the answer.

Scotty: I think the backing musicians were Jay Siegal, guitar; Hank Medress, bass; Phil Margo, drums; Mitch Margo, keyboards. Collectively they were know as the Tokens and they produced "He's So Fine" as near as I can tell. They were known for a little number entitled "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

Jerry: I was waitng to see whether you were referring to Joey Dee and the Starliters or Chubby Checker. It would seem that it was the former. I found it interesting that Jimi Hendrix was part of the touring group for the Starliters too.

I knew about David Brigati leaving the group and being replaced by his brother, who brought in Felix Cavalierre. I don't know anything about the other guys but that was close enough for me

Ok. Who recorded a pretzel commercial with Chubby Checker?. This person was a young struggling musician at the time.

In 1973 Roberta Flack hit number one on the pop charts again, this time for five weeks with her version of "Killing Me Softly With His Song". The song was inspired by a poem by Lori Lieberman in tribute to which rock and roll star of the early 1970s?
