OK, but I'm on my way to the airport and will not be able to respond for several hours:

Who sang all the harmonizing backing vocals on all the Paul Revere & The Raider recordings? Hint: He was also the focal point of the Charles Manson murderers, but they went to the wrong house.

Ah, good one! You got it, Jerry! The answer is Terry Melchior - their producer. He had passed on a song written by Charles Manson sent thru somewhat admirer, Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys. Furious, Manson put a hit on him but his followers went to the wrong house.

Yes that's it. I did not want to provide the answer I thought it best to give someone else a crack at it. Keep 'em coming.

OK here's one

Which former bass guitarist with instro band The Routers became a huge star in Uk first with another group then as a solo artist in 60's.

Those of you who enjoy this sort of thing may even enjoy BFTP on Cloughs Classics

You are thinking of Carol Kaye I believe Scott . I am not sure if she ever played with this predominantly studio band. The answer I believe Roy is looking for is Scott Engel more famously known as Scott Walker.

Here's an easy one for all the musicians on the board. What huge 60's rock star endorsed Roto Sound strings and even had his name on a set.
