As a person, no. As a more well-rounded, more intellegent Ric-O-Phile, absolutely! My Ric collection is continuing to improve - concurrently, my savings account isn't improving at all... But it's all good - you guys (and ladies) are great!

On this forum I've met people whose knowledge of these fine guitars is unapproachable. And have met people whose collections are unmatched. And people out of my social, financial and educational stratus. And a lot of great and enviable musicans and writers.
People with the skills to repair, customize and renew these instruments.
As with J-Dog, I have learned better internet communication. And not to assume people understand the nuances of my personality enough when a lousy joke turns into an unintended offense.
This being the only online forum I visit, is cool for the fact there's no attacking or flaming going on. I constantly seek out safe harbors, for there's unpleasantness out there for the taking.
I have met fine folks not only from around the country but around the world.
Yes, I feel in a small way this forum and you fine folks have improved me as a person.
And, I can start a sentence with "Well, John Hall once told me..."

I have 2 homes in San Francisco and one of them is available for sale or lease. Any overflow would fit nicely. Comes with a state of the art alarm system so your valuables are protected around the clock.doctorwho wrote:I think that I am better for the experience ... but storage space is suffering:
I'm just putting it out there.

Hmmmmmm…. No, I don’t think there is much hope for me in the improvement vein (sorta a lost cause)… But I can say I feel very lucky to have been exposed to so many great folks! I’ve made some friends and had some great help on a few instrument type issues. OK, now that I think about it maybe I have improved my lot in life with you all!

Changed me as a person? Made me a better person? Naw...I don't think so. But I'll tell you what the Forum has done for me; it has broadened my perspective on guitar playing, sure enough. And for that, I'm very greatful. Thanks to you all.

Has it made me a better person ???? Probably not.
My Theme song.
Not as financially well off as I could be though
Damn RAS !!!!
It has brought me into contact with some kind, generous and knowledgable people who have allowed me to share in their love of Rics, and the occasional jam. Thank You.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Improved as a person, ah, no.
But i have gained a lot of knowledge .
I also lurked here for about 2 years before joining .
The only other forum i'm a member of is the Gretsch Pages, which has a great bunch of guys/gals
that's why i joined here, y'all are great fun too.
Due to server problems or something,i bought my last Rick when i couldn't get on there for a week!
I had spent all that week looking over the archives, and i just got the RAS!
