Well, a new one costs $175 for the tailpiece and $75 for the bridge... and they're not available from the boutique and probably not available at any overseas distributor. I see this going well over $300. Makes the Hipshot replacement look rather economical if you can find one.

That's why I never sell stuff!

The lovely wife is leaning on me though - the garage is getting a bit cramped... :(

I think that is a reasonable price, especially for the shape it's in and Rick prices lately. You can't get them just anywhere, and as Evan pointed out about the RIC one and the Boutique, it ain't happenin' there, and for about the same price with shipping.

HEY, that's an idea Joey!

Janey has a Schwinn sitting in the garage....NEVER USED....I paid like $500.00 in the early to mid 80's.....

It's one of those "old lady" ones, with fenders & baskets....LOL!

Hmmm, how does one ship a bicycle? :?

ask brycycle! how do you think i picked-up that nick-name?

though - you'd be better off pawning it or selling it locally as the shipping on such a bike would out-price the value...

though i'm sure you were just joking?

SOLD! for $280,plus shipping-not too bad, considering the $250 price from the factory. the insanity is that you could get one each of the hipshots (brass and aluminum) for less.......i am currently hanging on to my original bridge for my 74 4000,but mostly just for re-sale,in case i ever decide to sell that bass.....i don't intend to put it back on while i still own the bass....

Hey Bryce,

Sad to say, I never put 2 & 2 together!

Nope, I'm serious! I guess I could always go the Craigslist way.

She opened it for Christmas, went around the block on it, and since then, it sat in the garage...first in NY and now in FLA! The kids didn't want it (now they have cars), it just sits, dusty and neglected in a corner of the garage.

I now return you to your regulary scheduled thread.....
