Hi Scott,

Now if we're talking about Great Britain Pounds Sterling, that's a LOT of dosh at today's exchange rate ! Our dollar is going down the tubes or should I say to the petrol corporations.... :)

I really don't know what a ROS Box is worth these days, nor do I know if it operates correctly since I've had it 18 years and never used it.

My daughter is attending Uni in Falmer, East Sussex in September, so she could use a few quid :)

I'll email RickyGirl and see if she's interested. I don't want to make out like a bandit, just whatever is fair.

I'm just happy to kick back and play my 360/12V64 these days !

Cheers,

Gary ( modrock)

Spot on Mike,

I'd rather it go to someone who can use it than to play around with 'bayers who take forever. In fact, it would be far easier.

Sarah is it? I think that's her name? I'll go through the 'members' list and send her a note.....

Cheers,

Gary

Thanks so much for remembering I wanted a Ric O Sound Scott!!

Gary and I have liased and we are wondering what his Ric O Sound is worth. Has anyone any views on how much Gary should sell it for?

Here's a recent ebay auction on a new one. I feel sure I've seen them go for over a $100. Maybe it's timing, maybe older ones fetch a higher price.

Like this one. I have no idea. Maybe the 2 of you could meet on the price half way?

That's quite an E Bay find for $46 and change. I suppose I should have left mine in the packaging it came shipped in so it would stay pristine, and bought a BOS kit for regular use: http://www.bayoucables.com/bayouosound-box-p-222.html :D

I think I've only used mine a few times, and the box has managed to acquire a small scratch in the box from being stored in my gig bag. :(

FYI; the boxes have not changed much, if at all, over the past twenty-odd years; the ROS kit I bought last year new from RIC is cosmetically indistinguishable from the ROS kit a friend of mine bought new in the 80s.

A quick up-date on the 'lost' ROS box. I sent it off to Rickygirl Sarah this morning to the UK, and she should have it in a week or so. :D
Glad the 18 year old ( but almost perfect ) ROS box is going to a good home !

I heard from Sarah ( rickygirl ) that the Rick-O-Sound box works well and that she is enjoying it. Another success story for the both of us. I'm so glad that it went to a good home rather than going the Ebay route and waiting and waiting trying to make a fortune off selling it. What a hassle! Now the ROS has a good home and she's putting it to good use ! :D

A good lesson for me since I've re-joined the RR Forum, better to do business with fellow Rickenbacker friends than to get all greedy and gouge some pour soul on Ebay !

Cheers !
