I think there will be be fewer people coming this year...thanks to the economy.
Though there are some new people on the forum, including people from the SoCal area that have never been to a confluence. I hope we will some more people than I'm assuming are coming at this time.

Official Notice

The 2008 RickResource Forum Southern California Confluence (SoCalCon) will be held at the Holiday Inn August 2-3. Here's the skinny:

Dates/Times:
Saturday, August 2, 2008 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 3, 2008 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location:
Holiday Inn Orange County Airport
2726 South Grand Ave.
Santa Ana, CA 92705

(Hwy. 55 and Grand Ave. West; exit/cross street is Dyer)

Phone: 714-481-6300 • Fax: 714-966-1889
800-888-5540

Room: Grand Ballroom
Size, 1845 Sq. Ft.; Dimensions, 57' x 31'; Ceiling Height 10'

When reserving a room ask for the "Hotel Event Rate" (but read the previous entries in the thread - you might get a better rate on line).

I have a picture of the room that I need to resize, but I'll try to do that and post it to give you an idea of the size (we'll have more room than last year).

We locals will be getting together to iron out some details. The jam session will be held in the ballroom, and is tentatively scheduled to run from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday.

I'll can get the word out to a few local Rick fans I know who aren't forum members (why, I don't know), and persuade them to donate at the door  , of course!

When's the next meeting for planning?

At the rate it's going, I probably should have said "longly" instead of "shortly" ... :)

Yeah, I'm relatively new to the forum, and in orange county, I'd definitely come out/help with anything if I can.

How can I join the mailing list or stay informed of when things are happening? :D

The way things are going lately I might show up at this gathering...I have been planted in Rancho Cucamonga for the past 4 weeks on a project and it does not look like it will be ending soon!
