Re: Anyone near Garland, TX?
I know I'm late on this, but I live a couple miles from Garland. Let me know if you need any help. I'll soon be leaving on a vacation that goes from June 7th thru June 15th.
Re: Anyone near Garland, TX?
Why does Garland sound familiar... Didn't we have an incident where someone here bought off ebay and was having all sorts of trouble with the seller and this person was in Garland?? Or is my memory all wrong....
Re: Anyone near Garland, TX?
I am also close, (enough) to Garland. It is the city in which a current cartoon is based, (Family Guy?), no... King of the Hill, that's it
Re: Anyone near Garland, TX?
Hi Alan,
Actually 'King of the Hill' takes place in Arlen, Texas. The guy who created the series once lived in Garland before striking it rich with Beavis and Butthead, so Arlen is a thinly disguised Garland. He likes to use names of actual places in the East Dallas area (i.e. White Rock Spillway, Casa Linda, Hwy 78, etc) but the geography doesn't make sense since it's a long drive from Arlen to Dallas (sorta like driving from Dallas to Fort Worth).
Best regards,
Randy
BTW: Someone from the Forum wanted me to 'drop by' an address in the Mid-Cities area because they got robbed on eBay. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of confronting a stranger concerning a transaction with another person I had never met.
