I can hardly beleive some young, almost talentless, dude could come along and steal his name. It's like desiding to call yourself Clapton or Jager. WHY

IT's ok Tom, I instinctly knew what you meant. As far as the younger Beck. I agree he is very talanted. Matter of fact I work with 20 something males and there where talking about Beck and of course me being the middle-aged foggie I am leap into the conversion as if they were talking about Jeff Beck. Suddenly I could tell by the look on there faces they had no idea who I was talking about. I said,"come on guys you call yourselves musicians and you havent heard Jeff Beck play? What's wrong with you people." Too make my point I went out and bought a Beck(the younger one) CD. LOved it. Especially the song peaches and Cream. I was hoping they would listen to or buy a Jeff Beck CD. My son likes Guitar Shop as do I.

My 15 year old just learn of the Beck the elder - Wired I believe... thinks he is cool! There is hope!

Sorry for the `almost talentless` comment, I just get passionate about Jeff Beck. I still wonder why does a young preformer would want go by the name of a legend ? If a person is in politics and his first name is John, should he have the right to be known as JFK ?

Why wouldn't he? It's his name. I would not change mine should I make it big time (ha...a likely scenario!) just because someone named Springsteen or Dickinson came along first.

He is treading on sacred ground. I'm sure you can explain why his album has a very simular title. Call yourself Bowie and name your album Iggy Stardust and the Sliders From Mars.
