Wow somebody actually noticed my Steve Harris signature Precision. You guys are good. Yeah that is a nice bass but the Ric is soooo much nicer. I actually picked up the the Steve Harris after playing the Ric and couldn't believe the difference. I do love playing my Precision but the Ric is so much easier to play and the neck is truly like butter. My Fender Precisions are nice but comparatively there is no comparison. I wish I would have bought a Ric years ago but hindsight is 20/20. Now I guess I'll have to look into a 6 string Ric (shhhh don't tell my wife).

Nice bass Lars!
I think it's a good thing that you waited. Those full width inlays look great.
There's nothing like getting a new guitar. Especially a Rick.
The first thing that i did the morning after I got my new Rick waaaaay back in Oct. 1981 was to open the case that next morning just to make sure of what I had there! It was so awesome to open that case the next day and say to myself, "I got a new Rickenbacker 4001! Fvck yeah!"
Hey, are you going to see Rush at Summerfest??

I didn't notice that quote at first. That quote is so spot on. R.I.P. Frank. I still miss you.

What a gorgeous bass! and little girl. I rock a new 2008 MG. I use to think the fender p-bass was my dream bass. (I played a friends back in the 80's) It was like butter. But compared to the Ric there is no contest. Congrats!

I'd like to throw my good wishes to you as well. Beautiful Fireglo, and daughter, and studio, and the Zappa quote is the icing. I used to own a bunch-o-Rics, but wittled ;'em down to only 2, also play a Deluxe P bass, and have a sweet daughter getting married next year. They absolutely grow up fast, seems like only weeks ago she was posing for cute pics with my gear, like yours, then had to have a bass of her own, now this. Enjoy it all my friend, you only go around once, far as I know.

Alan thank you for your kind words, you and all those whom posted have been universally wonderful and I thank you all for the warm reception. Again I'm new to Rickenbacker, though I've been drooling over them for years, its simply incredible to actually have a Ric after wishing for one for years. Not only that, besides my new Ric I get a nice bonus too the RRF. I'm surfing the site and learning a thing or two about Ric's in the process. Thanks again Alan et al. You guys Rock!

Lars :D
