Yep - & chances are the new knobs will be bigger knobs than the old 'uns.

Killed me with the election knob change, thank you, needed a good laugh. Few truer words have ever been spoken.

As far as lining them up, all the way to 10 and screw carefully. Wanna give your OCD a real run for its money, try fitting the vintage knobs on there(all black with that 1 thin white line). It's enough to drive you mad(or madder in my case)making those things look perfect. I threw a set on my 360/12FGVP, and after finally getting them to where I could live with them, I go and play it and mess with the 5th knob using both pickups and now the lines don't match up. I'm standing up playing, and I look down, and the lines are off. It sounds great and I'm looking at the stupid knobs wondering if it looks good or not.

No, I don't know anything about OCD,ADD, AADD,ADHD,Anxiety, and a few other things that if I could concentrate long enough I could remember. Sorry, I just somehow felt compelled to share!

Use a claw hammer.

The last 2 or 3 basses I have accumulated I have completely disassembled it leaving no screw unturned. I clean it, polish it, wax it and reassemble it. That's always a good exercise.
