Rick Springfield?

Little River Band?

They were both in Zoot? (One of Oz's most UNmemorable bands, IMO)

Rick Springfield certainly was cheesy, but I quite liked the music of The Little River Band. I have never heard of Zoot. They must really be bad.

That's about as good as Zoot got, hey Aitch?
Prior to this video, for a show called "Happening 70", they had shed their "pretty boy" image They wore all pink vests, ruffled shirts and flares! YUKK! Hence The Pink Zoot!
But still, this is a great cover of the Beatles song!

Thanks for posting that Aitch.

OK here's a fairly easy one for fans of Elton John's music . "Philadelphia Freedom" was written with a famous person in mind. Who is or was that famous person?

Well done Evan,

The song was penned in 1975 and was in fact was a tribute to Billie Jean King's tennis victory over her male challenger Bobby Riggs in straight sets. The match just happened to take place in Philladelphia, causing some confusion over the meaning of the lyrics. Some people believed that the song was written for the 1976 Bicentennial.

Which 1960's singing icon was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania in 1935? Also name his singing idol born in the same town in 1912. Both had stellar careers and became hugely succesful.
