It may be time to just blow up the computer and start from scratch...!
Re: Rickenbacker site
It's back up again. Post and search all you want!
Re: Rickenbacker site
I think you hit it Jeff. I've seen this before when either updates or maintenance on a site was happening.jps wrote:Login problem here, too. Strange that you have to log in just to visit the main site; probably just some maintenance going on.
Re: Rickenbacker site
Hah! Didn't read this before adding to Jeff's post. Welcome aboard the RRF train, Terry!guitar-murph wrote:The 'login' message being displayed is indicative of some kind of server problem/server maintenance, and has nothing to do with the user-id and password you might have created in order to post on their forum. Obviously they are still having issues with some of their IT infrastructure. Given the keen interest in their site from RIC fans....especially the 'recently shipped' feature, I would expect they will try to get this problem corrected as soon as possible.

Re: Rickenbacker site
Thanks for the warm welcome from all. I have spent considerable time on the corporate forum, but only within the last few weeks have I had a chance to browse through the information on this site. Appears to be very well done, and of course like the corporate site it has many friendly and knowledgeable folks onboard. RIC has been having problems with their site off and on for at least a few weeks, and I'm sure they are anxious to get the problems resolved. However, their core business is making musical instruments and not information technology.
Got to take some photos so that I can select an avatar. Got a great one in mind I want to use....
my 330 VP MB with gold guard and trc, trapeze tailpiece and 'tv' knobs. I have more expensive guitars in my collection, but this is the most visually appealing of all.
cheers

Yo G-Murph,
This is where RIC folks migrate to when the site goes down and vice-versa.
Wlecome and can't wait to see the avatar.
Thanks for the info.

Welcome to the other side, Terry.
Re: Rickenbacker site
Terry: Welcome. Please take the time to register your Rickenbacker and upload some nice photos.
