Check it out - a DG Laredo,4003 Tuxedo and a Silver 4003, which I would be interested but, I'm still scared of 4003's until I try an older one and like it

What would scare you about a 4003?

the fact that you can adjust the truss rod and not worry about popping the fretboard?

I think that Laredo is pretty sharp....How do they sound as compared to a 4003? How are the necks on those?

The Desert Glo 4004 L that Mike has was ordered by me. Quite possibly the only one in existence. I didn't keep because I'm not a bass player. Nonetheless, a very cool bass. I always like to order an instrument thats not likely to be duplicated. (I am kicking myself for NOT ordering a 350V63 in Sea Green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I know the feeling, I had ordered a 4003S5 BT on the last day that you could order a 5 string, I guess a few other folks had the same idea as well from the looks of it.

I'm thinking about buying the Tux tomorrow and having it refinished as a Redneck, possibly even a redneck 5 string!

I guess I need to try an older 4003. The one I had for a day(paleface)had a neck like a baseball bat, which oddly I like on P-Basses but, not on Rics

The Laredo Desert gold is absolutely fantastic !!!

Now, how come Ric is working around with these finishes on these Basses and still do not produce the Cheyenne C11 5 String yet ???

I was being sarcastic, The Blackstar is safe in it's case, no extra parts or mods. I did sell one about a year back that some idiot had placed a "666" decal above the bridgethat ruined the paint when he later removed it. I sold it to Hippie over at the pit.

We've all made our share of mistakes. I guess I really didn't need a Kahler tremolo on that '67 4005. Oh well. Image

The DG Laredo isn't brand new, and as long as it was ordered before 12/31/01 it was eligible to be made whenever the next run of Laredos were made.
