I played my first gig on guitar in quite a while last week (many more to come). I used my White Falcon for most of the night and the 660/12 on a few songs. If I popped a string or something on either guitar, I'd have no problem playing the 660/12 on the 6-string songs, or vice versa.

One of the bands I'm in opened recently for Jackie Green at the Bluebird Theater here...that boy brought 25 guitars! Not sure why, really...he's a good player with a good voice, but it kinda sounded like the Georgia Satellites all evening...

I take two basses, my '74 fretless 4001 and my '64 Fender P...and maybe the Taurus pedals when I need 'that extra little push over the cliff'...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

I'm debating which two guitars to take with me on the plane to Chicago. The 381's definitely staying home, but I might bring one of the WBs, along with my Silverjet. I need a gig bag or something to carry a Ric on if I do take it. A Ric case is definitely NOT of carry on proportions!

Brian, Welcome! Very cool.

JB - If you break a string on the 660/12, you don't even have to switch, cause you still have 11 left (-McGuinn quote)

I used to bring only 2 360/12 v64s, but the other night we played a 2 1/2 hour set, and I also brought along my two other 360/12s (1 capo'd up), and one of my 1997s.
I ended up playing them all.
I brought 3 12s the other night, and played all three.

Usually 2. My Rick 360 and my Heritage H535 get the call most of the time. If it's a long gig, I usually throw in a Melody Maker for the last set, it weighs in at about 5.5 lbs and really cuts down on backache at the end of the night.
