And believe me, if it wasn't sold, I wouldn't have posted it -- I would have called the store. After all, what better backup for a Shadow than another Shadow! OK, not really, I'm in the market for something old and Fendery.

Here it is! It plays just as well as my '85 4003 MG/BT, so I'll probably be selling that one. This thing is COOL!!! Cheers, JD

The secret is the black dot inlays -- they sound better than white dots or shark fins.

The late 80's 4003 (and all of its special editions) is Rick bass perfection.

My pearl dots (4003S's) sound killer as well!
