I think that guitar would look quite nice with gold guards & TRC with vintage knobs.

Since the 80's are so retro......I think RED
would be the ticket....I had 4 of the Ruby basses 2 of them were 4001 basses one reg and on BT...then 2 4003 basses w/BT....I am all over those!!!

I would vote for that...even though I just got one of mine redone in that color

For some reason I'd still like to see a blackburst..... black to medium grey - solid rather than black to grey maple.
