Slow Down

Post by jimk »

A former student of mine used a nifty little computer program to slow down recordings so she could steal licks off of favorite recordings. It also came in handy for going over hard passages she recorded during her lesson. Do any of you use something like that? What is it and where can I find it?

Jim: I would try Audacity.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks, Peter. I downloaded a free copy of it. I played with it a bit. That may be just the thing I was looking for.

Jim: When you are ready to move to the advanced level you might find the JamVox to be fun.

An on line demo.

Cool. Thanks.

JimK

[added comment] Actually, that looks quite interesting. Seems more versatile than Audacity.

GP5 can also do that. Great little program.....you can download all of the songs on Ultimate Guitar (for free). Just buy the program.
