George is playing a LP. I wonder if it's Lucy?

It certainly looks like it. In the video, you can catch brief glimpses of the upper part of the guitar near the pickup selector switch and those look like the dark burgundy color. Also, there is a link to another video of the performance from another angle that shows a burgundy LP that looks exactly like Lucy. It may be though that this is a facsimile of Lucy though. Either way, cool video. Thanks for the link.

Looks like Lucy to me. The color is not so much burgundy but actually the same bright cherry red that SGs are finished in, as it was refinished at the Gibson factory in the mid-60s. Whoever's soloing on that video sounds great!

Gary Moore is doing the solo.

That's what I meant. I was at a loss on the right name for the finish at the time.

It does look kinda burgundy in that pic I posted...but somewhere I have the Guitar Player magazine reprint of his collection and it looks BRIGHT red. Weird finish. Gibson actually did a reissue last year:

You know something... I still have a hard time believing he is gone. With John Lennon it's different. I was a kid and so much time has passed. But with George I still feel shock when I think about it.

Huh, that's funny, it has a "Custom" TRC. :?:

Pretty cool musical links with Lucy and Gary Moore's LP.
Lucy belonged to Rick Derringer. It was a gold top that he had refinnished, but said it wasn't that same afterwards so he sold it or traded it to a shop in England. I don't know if anyone else had it between him and George though.
Moore's LP was the one Peter Green used for his Blues Breakers and Fleetwood Mac stuff.

One of the weird idiosyncrasies of Lucy the Les Paul...the Gibson reissue replicated the custom TRC too!

Now that I think about it, its possible that they put the "custom" TRC on when they were refinishing it at the Gibson factory.

I've always assumed that was the case as well.
