Soldering materials and the .0047mcf cap

Post by rickless »

Hi all! Long time, no surf. I'm getting ready to solder in a cap for the bridge pickup. My grandfather is a soldering expert and will be doing the work for me while teaching me how to do it all at the same time. I wanted to find out what is the BEST kind of solder for guitar electronics?

Secondly, is there ANY difference from one manufacturer's cap to the next? If yes, who makes the best ones?

Thank you guys...all of you! I've learned more about guitars (all kinds and brands) these past 2 years on the internet than I learned in the 15 years I'd been playing prior to that. Bass guitar brotherhood is a wonderful thing.

P.S. Have had my 1st Rick for a couple months now, and I'm glad to say, I still love her and get excited about her. She's like a trophy...real arm candy! She really turns heads when we're out.
