You'll have to drill the four screw holes for the bracket first - it's a different shape than the 'R' bracket. It is possible, if you want to go back to the 'R' at some point, to only screw in the strap button over the bracket and not put the screws in, as they merely keep the bracket from twisting.

Yeah, just make sure to use a pilot hole (tiny drill) to avoid paint chipping before you screw.
I'll trade you a new trapezoid for that old R tailpiece!

Re: Trapeze installment
I recently did this mod. Mine is held by the strap button alone. It's on there very solidly, the only thing is, when I put my first set of strings on, they pulled a little crooked, I just twisted back in place by hand. Now it stays in place as long as I don't take off and put on all the new strings at once.
Re: Trapeze installment
Put a piece of masking tape over the spot(s) before you start drilling too.
Re: Trapeze installment
Hey Mike, it's a very easy mod to perform! As said prior, use the strap button as your first point of reference, align the bracket and drill! Post some pics when done!
