Well, sounds great Wes. I wish you would post a full 24 bit (if that's what you used) non-lossy mix somewhere. I'd like to add it to my collection!

Yeah, I'm using an RME fireface, CAD M179 large diaphragm condensers, and sm57s. I bought a midi controller to do the piano parts, but I really can't play it.

I'll work on the audio a bit later today to make sure it's how I want it, then post the audio in a higher quality format on my personal site, stay tuned.

Thanks Wes. Sounds great!

You used quite a few tracks. I counted 23 tracks on my last song though.

You just about have me sold on getting a Hofner club or similar. What do you think about
the eastwood copy? It sure costs a lot less.

The Hofner is truly in a class by itself. Save for the Hofner, it's totally worth it. I got a pretty darn good deal on mine. But seriously, go for the real thing. I think if you had a chance to play one of these you'd understand.

OK, Wes. I'll check them out next time i'm in the "big city". One of these days I'm going to have to stop
buying expensive guitars!! now up to 7 and a sitar to boot. The Rick 12 was a bit of a financial hit. I ought to
start building again. I used to.

I just bought a tambourine too! You know what....cats like the sound of tambourines and are attracted to them. Really!
Weird huh? Perhaps the same thing will happen with women?

You think THAT'S bad guys? I'm about to buy guitar #14! Plus I have a sitar(avatar pic), tambura, dilruba, tabla, among other things. Can you tell I'm single??? LOL!!! P.S Les, I tried. So far no woman has been attracted by my tambourine!!!

Brian, neat!

I also want a tambura. The sitar is something , huh? tune for half an hour, play for five minutes...

I did a "jawari" on mine...i.e. changing the buzzing part of the bridge's shape to go to a darker sound. It's not easy to get
a particular sound all the way up the scale, but I think I did ok. Hours of sanding though. Thoudandths of an inch matter...a lot.

I understand the jawari on a tambura is done with little pieces of sewing thread stuffed under the string.

"tune for half an hour, play for five minutes..."

So true! Yeah, my tamb came with thread under the strings and I threw them away, cause #1 I'm an idiot and #2 I didn't know what I was doing. It was a drunken birthday presesnt to myself(I was drunk when I ordered it-Happy birthday!!!). I got a 6 string one from Mid-East Mfg. I figured, 6 strings were better than 4! Like a sitar, she's a feisty "bee-eye-tee-see-aych". Don't get me started on the table and dilruba. Tabla I shouldn't have bought. #1 They were cheap. #2 I'm not a percussionist!!! Dilruba, I got cause of "Within You Without You". Try tuning that one! I bought guitar tuners for the 15 sympathetic strings(There's another five more!!!) cause the wooden pegs kept, either slipping or breaking!!!

Dude, gotta go to bed. Email [email protected]
