Melibee original--Finally!

Post by melibreits »

Here's an original song of mine that I recorded last night with my friend Billy D, played on my 360/12 WB.... He's struggling to sing the harmony to my high vocals, but we'll get it right before we perform in a month!

You're right, Scotty.... I love warm sunny beaches..... I wrote this song as a way of coping when we got two feet of snow at the end of April! I think I'm going to retire to Florida, LOL!

Then you have to contend with mosquitos, alligators, hurricanes, ... and Jdog! :)

Great song!

Wow.

I think that's the first performance I've ever seen from inside a sauna. Must've been tough keeping the old Ric in tune.....

:)

Nice song. :)

Thanks, guys.... I think there must have been some good karma in posting that song today, as this is the first really NICE summer day that we've had here this year--about 80 degrees with a light breeze, and not real humid.... A PERFECT day! This afternoon I enjoyed a mojito on the balcony overlooking the harbor. I guess I don't need to fly away to the tropics.... For now I'll stay right here! :D

The summers here are nice, once they finally happen... They're just too short!

Nice Melissa....watching that reminds me of listening to you on your local FM station a couple of years ago.

Melibee,
You know I rarely post, but lurk often enough to feel I know you, Aitch, Paul, and others. I love this song!

Very Jimmy Buffet feel with the steel drum parts. This could easily be on one of his best albums.

It is a wonderful song taking anyone in a foul, sad, irritable or depressed mood to a better place. Can't wait until the harmonies are worked out. Hope you record this PROPER (mainly out of my own selfish desire to add it to my computer for listening enjoyment). Keep up the good work!

Great job Melissa! I head this a while back but just haven't had time to post.... this is a sand stuck to the outside of a wet glass type tune - I love it!!! More please.

Why wait until retirement? And does that mean I have to retire to Minnesota! Yikes!
