More rarities!

Post by rickbeat »

Hi!

Here is a photo of very nice but odd Rickenbacker guitar. I'm not sure what to call it! Any ideas? 370SPC?
Image

Whatever model it is I still think it's very rare!
This guitar was specially made for Marty Willson-Piper of the The Church. He also had a 12-string guitar.
I think it was a Model 1993, and this custom made 6-string.

Read more here:

Take care

Hi Bjorn

Thats a great pic (even if it was myself that took it!).........I will be very interested to see if it has a model number........

I have also emailed the pic to a fellow forumite (and church fan),... maybe he will come up with something.

Hi again!

Thanks Andrew!

The link I gave you doesn't work. I made something wrong. I am sorry.

This has been quite circuitous!
That is definitely a gorgeous Rickie. A friend of mine in Aussieland has offered to contact Marty Willson-Piper for any specific details he might have. Yes, the more I see it, the more I covet it. I've said many times that my 1997 is the guitar I reach for before any others. It IS the Rickenbacker sound. Andrew, I've emailed you.

Is there an Ac'cent vibrato in the case per chance?

Cheers, Noel

Bjorn: Perhaps a Model 1998 SPC? A beautiful photo of an exquisite guitar.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
