Ha! Peter, if you are referring to my embracing a Strat in my old age, do note that I've owned a Dick Dale replica Strat for over a year now, and that I posted on this Forum when I purchased it, too.

My main issues with Fender is not the Strat, it's their silly over-proliferation of models with the same body (something like 65 "different" Strats, not including color variations or Squiers, when I took th time to count at NAMM '07). Then there's the relics, etc.

But the Mary Kay and the '57 burst RI are the top of the top, as far as I'm concerned, followed closely by the '62 RIs.
