THE LAST TIME - NUMBER 1

Post by royclough »

Here's something a bit different to hopefully run along side BFTP.

I recently put together a quiz thing for some friends at a get together and it seemed to go down reasonably well.

I appreciate that it may be slightly difficult for those not in UK, hopefully some may be difficult for those in UK.

Quiz is based on UK charts and I know none of you will dash to the reference books.!

I'll keep a running score if there is enough interest, if not I'll just abandon it, there are 40 questions so will run awhile

OK I hear you say get on with it,what's the quiz, it is is based on the last single to make the UK charts by the relevant act.

As in any quiz - ONE attempt unlike BFTP where you get two.

The last time - number 1
From Nov 59 to Oct 66, this hitmaker had 24 uk top 50 entries. Two no 1’s. Only had one top 40 hit in US.

Usual rules send e-mail please

My guess is in, Roy.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter rightly has asked me to clarify certain parameters with regard to the quiz.

If this takes off and I hope it does another bit of light hearted fun, all the clips that will be put up are by acts associated with the 60's.

However their last chart entry may well not have been in the 60's, could 70's , 80's etc.

In this instance the last chart entry for this act was in the 60's.

Late submission by me, I'm afraid I didn't find this one at all easy. Anyway my guess is now in Roy.
