i never saw P`s or J`s like that. did you add the extra pickups to them or did you order it that way...

I hot rodded some cheap p-basses that I got off of ebay ... there was one that I dismantled for parts ... but it had the standard split p-bass pickup ... then I added a 1/4 pound duncan in the bridge and a carvin humbucker in the neck ... it sounded pretty good with that configuration ...
The nice thing about p-basses is they are easy to hot rod ...

Put down the solder gun and back away slowly....
Mark Arnquist once made it quite clear on this forum some months back - always use a soldering IRON on a Rick; the xformer in the gun degausses the pickups.
